Woman proves Doctors wrong – Gives birth to triplets 8 years after being told she can’t have kids
Monique Bertrand bucked the odds by giving birth to triplets despite having polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). Which doctors had previously believed prevented her from becoming pregnant.
Monique who is 38 of age and her 39 years old partner John, had explored alternative possibilities such as fostering / adoption after years of unsuccessful attempts to conceive.
The couple was overjoyed when Monique learned she was expecting a child in April 2022 after receiving the astonishing news. But it wasn’t the end of the surprise. Monique found out she was having three babies, not just one, in the eighth week of her pregnancy.
The birth of the triplets has brought immeasurable happiness to Monique and John, surpassing their expectations and defying the challenges they faced in their journey to start a family.
“I waited a long time to be a mum, so when the sonographer said it was triplets, I just shouted in confusion and happiness. It’s been a blessing with so many challenges. The doctors called them miracle babies.” She said excitedly.
