Toko Ekambi Violently Attacked by Algerian Fans

Indomitable Lion Striker, Karl TOKO EKAMBI was attacked and threatened by some Algerian supporters after his match at his club. Reports have it that the indomitable lion was threatened in the locker room by Lyon fans of Algerian nationality. Which was after their game against Montpelier during which Toko scored a goal.

Algerians have still not digested their defeat during the world cup qualifiers, and have began a direct attack on Toko Ekambi. They are still bitter with him for the last-minute goals. This has gotten many Cameroonians worried and concerned for the safety of the football star. This incident reminds us of the sad fate of late Albert Ebosse who was killed in Algeria in 2014.

He said;
“These behaviors make football lose the nobility. Players don’t feel safe. Cameroon has lost one in Algeria, this is Albert EBOSSE.
Our young Karl Toko Ekambi has been a victim of threats from some supporters in France since the end.
It is my right to please and protect professional Cameroonian players from all over the world. Every country should take its responsibility.
Football is not war we want show. Let those who have come to infiltrate this noble discipline to lower it, and begin to understand that Cameroon is not a toy to joke with. ”

According to the newspaper “L’info à chaud”, Cameroonian striker Karl Toko-Ekambi was placed under police protection after receiving death threats from some Algerian supporters residing in France.

Just a quick reminder, the five-time African champion Cameroon was placed under Group “G” for the world cup. And they will be facing  Brazil, Serbia, and Switzerland.
