Tanzania U-17 Women’s team hammered the Under 17 Indomitable lionesses of Cameroon by 4 goals to 1. In the first leg final round of the qualifiers for the FIFA U-17 World Cup later this year.
Clara Cleitus Luvanga, Tanzanian player scored all four goals during the match which was played at the Ahmadou Ahidjo stadium in Yaounde. The Indomitable Lionesses were less prolific throughout the match, as they failed to meet up to the tally, scoring just one goal.
The return leg comes up in two weeks at the Stadium in Zanzibar and the winner over the two legs, will qualify for the tournament, which will be hosted by India.
