Roger Milla‘s 70th Birthday Celebrated in Grand Style
Roger Milla who turned 70, the 20th of May 2022, was celebrated in grand style.
The match was played between international football stars from across the globe on one side and former lions of Cameroon on the other end. Amongst those who graced the occasion was the Minister of Sports and Physical Education Muele Kombi, who took the kickoff of the main Galla match. The day rounded up in great feasting around Nfandena neighbourhood of Yaounde.
Milla remains legendary for his exploits with the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon over two decades back. Roger Milla is also remembered for his trademark goal celebration of running to the corner flag and performing a dance. In 2004 he was named by Pelé in the FIFA 100 list of the world’s greatest living players. And In 2007, the Confederation of African Football named Milla the best African player of the previous 50 years.
