Just In: Elon Musk’s ‘X’ will soon have audio and video call features

Billionaire owner of X, formerly Twitter, Elon Musk, has continued to make changes to the social media application.

The latest features give users the chance to make calls and videos without the need for a phone number. When launched, the features would place X in direct competition with WhatsApp, Telegram, and other social media platforms.
This is part of the tech billionaire’s plan to make X the “everything app”. In a tweet on August 31, Musk said users will soon be able to make audio and video calls through X without needing a phone number. He also said the calling feature will work across operating systems, including iOS, Android, Mac, and PC.
