FIFA World Cup 2026 CAF Qualifiers: Cameroon Falls in Group D
The 54 nations of CAF have learned their qualification route for the next 2026 World Cup.
At the conclusion of its meeting yesterday in Abidjan, the capital of Ivory Coast, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) unveiled the preliminary draw for the 2026 World Cup African qualifiers.
Cameroon features in Group D alongside Mauritius, Eswatini, Libya, Angola, and Cape Verde. With whom they will compete to secure a spot in the next world cup. Which will be jointly hosted by Canada, the US, and Mexico. A total of nine slots in the final tournament and one inter-confederation play-off slot are reserved for CAF teams
Djibouti will play the opening match of the qualifiers, as part of group A.
