CAMEROON JOURNALIST MARIE MONIQUE MBOZO‘O GIVES BIRTH TO HER FIRST CHILD AT 55
Cameroon Journalist MARIE MONIQUE MBOZO‘O has given birth to her first child at 55. The 55-years-old journalist at the Cameroon radio and television, (CRTV) enjoys the joy of being a mother. And, she gave birth to a 3kg baby girl yesterday the 15th of September 2021. Marie gave birth at the Center for Research and Application in Endoscopic Surgery and Human Reproduction (CHRACERH) through a Caesarean section.
However, Marie’s case had been followed up for five years at CHRACERH under the care of the Director of the Center, Professor Kasia. It has indeed been a work of patience and faith. Likewise on the same day, the hospital experienced two other “miraculous births”.

Marie Monique after a safe delivery said on the National Television that: “The process was long, psychologically and financially trying. A woman of my age who gives birth without complications is a victory for science, a miracle of God.”
Meanwhile, It wasn’t an easy process for CRTV Journalist, Maria. After about five years of medical follow-up, 06 attempts at In Vitro implantation and 04 surgical procedures. Subsequently, she became the happiest newest mother in the world. Her daughter joins the 278 babies obtained by In Vitro fertilization at the Hospital Center for Research and Application in Endoscopic Surgery and Human Reproduction.

As over the past five years, there have been successful cases. In total, more than 200 births, following the use of In Vitro fertilization (IVF), have taken place at CHRACERH since 2016.
