Indomitable Lions former Goalkeeper Andre Onana is very likely to join the country’s National Football Team once again. In a press release allegedly signed by the Cameroon Football Federation’s secretary general, Njounang Blaise, Andre Onana was shortlistlest as one of the players to represent the nation.
The letter also stipulates that, a request has been made to the Ministry of External Relations to assist the issuance of entrance visas to the United States for select players, including Andre Onana.
The proposal, according to the letter, is a lead-up to a friendly football game that will be scheduled in anticipation of the impending 2024 African Cup of Nations, which will take place in Ivory Coast.
Meanwhile, it is worth noting that, Onana, (who presently competes professionally for Inter Milan in Italy), was expelled from the national squad during the Qatar 2022 World Cup at the request of Indomitable Lions coach Rigobert Song for “indiscipline.”
