An aircraft with 11 people aboard crashed near Yaounde due to bad weather conditions after losing contact. The aircraft was making a Yaoundé-Nsimalen-Dompta-
The plane was chartered by a private company, the Cameroon Oil Transportation Company (COTCO). Which maintains a hydrocarbon pipeline that runs between Cameroon and neighboring Chad, as reported by AFP.
Cameroon’s Minister of Transport confirmed the crash of the aircraft inside a forest not far away from Nanga Eboko, in the Centre Region. A communiqué from the Transport Ministry reveals that a search team was immediately deployed, which then localised the aircraft inside the forest.
The aircraft took off in Yaoundé at 10:44 a.m. for Belabo with 9 people and 2 crew members. Due to bad weather conditions, he returned to Nsimalen at 11:30 a.m. and modified his flight plan. It took off again from Nsimalen at 12:46 p.m. for Domta with a range of 4 hours and 20 minutes. Estimated arrival was 2:34 p.m. The last contact with the Yaoundé tower took place at 1:07 p.m. – (Camerounweb)

Search is currently underway for the Nanga Eboko plane crash victims. However, they are fears that none of those on board of the plane would still be alive.
