The heavy rains of Saturday had given way to beautiful weather and blue skies, setting the stage for a beautiful soccer jamboree. The rains of the previous day were a sign of benediction for the village and the community. When the Limbe trumpet choir with their brass bands and trumpets hit the high notes at about 3 pm, the village was in a total frenzy. Both teams put up a beautiful display of soccer with swift passes, clinical tackles, and robust defending characteristic of “champagne football”.
