Cameroonian-born Pro Basketball player Joel Embiid who plays for the Philadelphia 76ers in the NBA has for the past three years put on an amazing performance at the competition. Known for being one of the league’s leading scorers with leading 33.1 points, 10.2 rebounds, and 4.2 assists and shooting efficiently 54.8% from the floor, and getting to the foul line 11.7 times per game.
Giving this input to the team’s success and breaking records by scoring over 45 points per game has drawn him closer to being in the NBA MVP conversation through critiques of the sport.
Recently NBA publicize their three finalists for the league’s MVP awards and Joel Embiid was on the list alongside Nikola Jokic (Denver Nuggets) and Giannis Antetokounmpo (Milwaukee Bucks).
Joel has lost this award previously as he was runner-up in 2021 and 2022 and considering the fact that he has performed this year better with more points it seems like this year is finally going to be his big year as most keep voting him to be the favorite for the awards.
