Indomitable Lion’s Coach Rigobert Song has officially launched his Rigobert Song Foundation. Created from his vision and dedication to championing the next generation: The Rigobert Song Foundation will educate, empower and inspire young people to become better prepared for the future. Subsequently, to embrace opportunities to achieve greater social mobility and sustainable development.
The foundation which was officially launched on May 21st, 2022 in Yaoundé, kick started with a sporting march to fight against cardiovascular illness. Under the theme “4 You Health”, all participants walked from the Yaounde Conference Center to the Presidential roundabout.
Over hundreds of people took part in the walk, including many personalities. Some notables present were Fecafoot President Samuel Eto’o, UFC Champion Francis N’Gannou, and Augustine Simo. Not forgetting the presence of; Deputy Minister Jean De Dieu Momo, Hon Fotso Kamdem Chebou, Bill Tchato and many others.
At the end of the sports activities, Rigobert Song endorsed the construction of a modern hospital. Who’s objective will be to give a special scrutiny to persons suffering from cardiovascular illnesses. Rigobert Song Foundation is expected to continue their sensitization health campaign in the towns of Douala on June 18, Bafoussam June 25 and Kribi 2 July 2022.
