We need not be told prison is a very hard place, being told what to do or what to eat, lack of privacy, the unnerving threat of violence as loathsome and unmeaning as humans are able to create. The experience is dehumanizing, but every now and then, blazing light of creativity and hope lights up these darkened dens of vice in the form of artistic expression, Its source is often music offered to the incarcerated by sympathetic artists from every musical genre.
New Bell Prison was glowing in all its glory as the rapper Stanley Enow decided to celebrate his birthday with the inmates there. The Stanley Enow Foundation which was led by him came with a light of hope to the inmates and to let them know just because they are incarcerated does mean they are forgotten. Stanley Enow accompanied by a couple of celebrities Like Daphne, Honorable Nourane Fotsing, Meshi, Bwoy Dezz, and Kush Life Nation, Skiezy Ayenkea, Forbi Lyon just to name a few
They were an entertaining football match between the Inmate team and Stanley Enow Team, where the Inmate team carried the day. Talented singer and songwriter Meshi please the crowd with a graceful performance. The was an artistic performance from one of the inmates who thrilled us to a beautiful coupe decale/mbole vibe. When it came to Stanley Enow taking the stage in his regular energetic manner the whole New Bell Prison came alive, with his prison fans chanting his name as loud as they could. His visit ended in the minor section of the prison where he shared the birthday cake with the little ones in that section.
