In the entertainment industry, the word “beef” is used to express conflict between celebs. There was a time that no one could have imagined Stanley Enow glorifying his arch-nemesis Jovi. But today that’s exactly what’s happening. Triumphant Cameroonian rapper Stanley Enow kicks off the biggest Entertainment story in Cameroon of 2022 by endorsing Jovi, Maahlox, Minks, Tenor, Ko-C (and a list of other rappers) as some of the best in the Country. All these started after a Malian blog did a post about him citing Stanley was the best rapper from Cameroon and he responded with a post below.
A few hours later, Stanley took his reconciliation to another level by profiling and endorsing Jovi on his page as a rapper that Africa should pay attention to.
In 2011, Cameroonian Hip-Hop was entering its golden era when Rapper Jovi released one of the first purely refined indigenous rap music with his hit – Don 4 Kwat that breathed fresh air Cameroon Rap music and inspired rappers who followed his path and did the same style of rap.
Almost two Years after Jovi’s – Don 4 Kwat Stanley Enow premieres one of the biggest and most successful rap song ever – Hein Pere which was a major national and international success. After this release, Stanley Enow went on to win a lot of awards including becoming the first-ever Cameroonian to win an MTV Award. All these skyrocketed him into fame and superstardom.
Although both rappers (Jovi and Stanley) had a succession with commercial hit records, there has been a rivalry between these two for almost ten years now. All these years these two rappers have taken up their swords crated their well-known beef which has dominated the Cameroonian rap scene for over 8 years. The duo has never met face-to-face and discussed what transpired between them.
Whatever has been brewing between them, fans and music lovers hope this 2022 there is a moderator that will finally initiate a peaceful meet and a possibility of a collaboration.
