The Cameroonian artist infuses his latest mega-hit single “YAYAYO” with colorful imagery and an epistle melody that evokes feelings of pride and belonging to Africa. He was inspired by Awu’s love for African popular music, rumba, and afrobeat.
The video features media influencer Dulafe Valery and showcases colorful artistry from African backgrounds to synchronize dance moves.
“YAYAYO” was shot and directed by award-winning video director Adah AKenji, who also shot Awu’s two previous hit singles, “Sidomina” and “Sidomina Remix Feat. Stanley Enow. Adah AKenji, who is an accomplished music video director, created crispy imagery for “YAYAYO.”
YAYAYO was shot in the capital city of Yaoundé and features sexy, stunning models. This soaring visual upholds a tradition of unforgettable, super-talented alternative Afropop visionaries, upping the ante yet again.
