We all have been impressed with Roger Milla, Samuel Eto’o Fils, Patrice Mboma but for a while now we have been worried that after Samuel Eto’o finally hangs up the boots we will not see a prospect in years. This is so because, during their prime (Eto’o-Milla-Mboa), they were outstanding and became global sensation hence motivating a new generation but for a while now we haven’t yet had that player that can reach such heights of influence and talent. Well, prepare to be stunned by another outrageously gifted Cameroonian youngster in the BVB stable: he is called Youssoufa Moukoko.
The Cameroon-born prospect is currently on 35 goals in 21 B-Junioren Bundesliga West games so far this season.
Moukoko, who was born in Cameroon on 24 November 2004, joined Dortmund from Bundesliga 2 side St. Pauli last year and immediately hit the ground running.
In 2016/17, he was top scorer in the club’s all-conquering U-15 side, netting 33 times in 21 games to help them win the Regionalliga West title with five matches to spare. His performances did not go unnoticed by the German FA, who called him up for two U-15 matches against the Netherlands in May.
Could we ever see Youssoufa Moukoko in the squad of thIndomitablele Lions of Cameroon?
According to Derwesten, the player who admires Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and admits to take advice from the Gabonese for his career, was advised by the star to play for the selection of Cameroon. Although currently wearing the colors of Germany, Moukoko remains selectable for his country of origin, under the FIFA regulations, since he has not yet played with the German senior selection.
