The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon have donated the sum of 50 Million Frs for all the Victims of the Olembe Stampede incident. The unforgettable incident took place last week Monday at the Olembé Stadium in Yaoundé during the Cameroon Vs Comoros match. That led to the death of 8 people and several others injured.
Therefore, as part of their support, the National Team players have promised to donate 50 million francs to these victims. According to Crtvweb, the players will be handing the assistance from part of their compensation and match bonuses. After the team’s quarterfinals win over Gambia, they added another 15million francs to their already acquired wealth.
This move by the indomitable Lions comes as a second major action taken by the team after the stampede. The entire indomitable team through the captain Vincent Aboubakar sent messages of condolence to the bereaved families and encouragement to all recovering at the hospital.
