Ever since the corona pandemic began it is historic that Ghana happens to be the first country in the world to receive COVID-19 vaccines as part of the COVAX facility.UNICEF will provide up to 1 billion syringes and 10 million safety receptacles to the countries concerned to be ready to administer vaccines in 2021.
In a televised address to the nation by the Ghanian president Mr. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on Sunday, the vaccines had been declared safe by the country’s Food and Drugs Authority (FDA), and there was no reason to doubt their safety. “Taking the vaccines will not alter your DNA, it will not embed a tracking device in your body, neither will it cause infertility in women or men,” he assured.
