Besiktas and Cameroonian international striker Vincent Aboubakar who appeared as a guest on the “Talent D’Afrique” show on Canal+ Sport, was asked by an Algerian international sports journalist Nabil Djellit if he thinks he can break his former National teammate and captain Samuel Eto’o’s record for the highest goal scorer ever in the history of the Cameroonian National team”
Nabil asked,
“Neymar dropped Pele, Kane dropped Rooney in the selection, Giroud, Henry waiting for Mbappe. Do you think you can break Samuel Eto’o’s record in Cameroon? I looked up the stars. You have 41 goals in 99 appearances, and Samuel has 56 goals in 118. is it in the back of your mind?”
Vincent Aboubakar replied,
“I need to help Cameroon win more trophies. After the record, it’s the details. Even if I break his record, there will still be another person who will break my record. The most important thing is to help Cameroon win more trophies, and that’s what matters”
Aboubakar Vincent who is now the captain of the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon has the possibility of breaking that long-standing record left by Samuel Eto’o since he hasn’t shown any signs of slowing down anytime soon.
