The Cameroon Olympic team returns home from Tokyo 2020 without any medal, it is to be noted that the Olympic team since its creation has recorded 5 medals ( 3 gold, with 1 in football and 2 in Athletisme), the remaining 2medals bronze in boxing. During this edition of the Olympic games Tokyo 2020, the team hasn’t recorded any medal won, with the participation of 12athletes. Cameroon is represented in various disciplines as weight lifting 87kg and 76kg by Clementine Meukeugni and Jeanne Gaëlle Eyenga Mbo’ossi respectively, Sarah Nana Haffou(Table tennis), Vanessa Mballa Atangana, Arrey Sophina (Judo), Wilfried Seyi, Albert Mengue Ayissi, Maxime Yegnong (Boxing), Yves Charly Njoume, Elisabeth Milanesi (swimming), Emmanuel Esseme (athletics) and (wrestling) 53kg female by Joseph Emilienne Essombe Tiako. Hopefully, this shameful and premature elimination serves as a lesson to sports authorities to develop sporting activities and infrastructure from the base. Our hopes of winning at least a medal(Bronze) disappeared after female 53kg freestyle wrestling Joseph Emilienne Tiako, lost against Bat Osir Bolortuya from Mongolia today.
