Conscious rap is a different ball game when Hip Hop is concern. In Cameroon when we talk about conscious rap, there are few names that come up. One of the names that will always come up is Young Holiday. He is one of those rappers that go to to war with words each time a song drops with him on it. The wordsmith just dropped a new song titled “Warming Up.” His energy, flow, technique and diction is impeccable and wows any one that listens. His wit too is present as you can see him playing with the alphabet and making Bs sound like a bee attack. Word plays, metaphors and allegory are his strong points on this song as he is just warming up that is he is getting ready for a 100 meters. Listen and tell us what you think.
